Understanding what “Creator” means

We need to understand that God is the reason why we exist. God is the provider of our earth, our world, and what we need in order to continue to exist. While today’s youth are taught that they have rights as children of a couple (their parents), and in turn, they have no responsibilities, but their parents have to provide everything for them. While parents should provide for their children, the greatest responsibility on the children’s part is to respect their parents. Also, they need to obey and serve their parents, all the while they are dependent upon those parents.

When those concepts are firmly grasped, then we need to talk about God as our Creator. We, as God’s creation, need to understand that we need to respect, worship, obey, and serve God. That is where things fall down on our part.

God chastises us because of this lack of respect of Him. His person, His character, should demand our respect.
