False Prophets are Unsaved

False Prophets are Unsaved. Many Christians will accept the false prophet as having some good and some bad. But that is an error on their part.

We need to understand the difference between a minister who makes mistakes because he lacks understanding or discernment, and a false prophet who has not been saved nor does he have the Holy Spirit guiding his life (or at least trying to do so). But these people ALWAYS see themselves as spiritually superior to others, while they are not even saved.

The false prophet is not a minister of God that makes a mistake. He has a disposition AGAINST God such that he works against or in contrast to the moral character of God. In essence, every false prophet is an antichrist, he is against Christ using moral character that is the opposite of Jesus Christ’s moral character. Every person who is saved, is only saved because they submit to God. They do what God requires in order for a person to be saved.

In reality, Christians need to understand that the Bible’s teaching about false prophets are what most unsaved people are in essence. The false prophet parades as being the favorite of God, as being “spiritual.” But in reality, he is part of a war against God. Satan’s war against God is one of spiritual character, of morality. Satan uses man’s sin as his weapon to win against God. When man has sin, sin causes damage and hurt to that person, and Satan is happy. Although the end will show God defeating Satan, sinful men’s lives are Satan’s intermediate victories against God.

The false prophet is false and against God because he practices sin before others trying to deceive them somehow, and/or he directly teaches doctrines and practices that are opposite or different from the Bible. We can even include ministers who de-emphasize the important in the Word of God and emphasize what is not so important. It is always more important to be truly saved than to know Bible facts.

But false prophet is diametrically opposed to God’s sovereignty over them. This, in itself, is a very clear warning to not get into his sphere of influence, or he will cause you spiritual damage.

Acts 13:6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: Acts 13:7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. Acts 13:8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Acts 13:9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul) ,filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, Acts 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? Acts 13:11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

While most unsaved people (and Christians) have a hard time discerning between sin and righteousness, God has put a conscience in man’s heart, and if the person listens to God (the Bible) and listen to the Holy Spirit working in their conscience, they can easily discern what is sinful and what is not. It is Satan who justifies sin and accuses God unjustly that makes men continue in sin.

People who are involved in Spiritual Activity are not necessarily Saved

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

We must understand the deceptive nature of false prophets. They want to appear like good Christians, but are not even saved. Jesus tells us that. They preach to others, but they themselves always seem to be exempt from their own preaching.

The only way we can understand the Bible’s teaching about the false prophet is to conclude he isn’t even saved. Because of the existence of false prophets, we should hold every person espousing his own salvation and fealty to God suspect until a consistent history and active life indicates that the person is saved.

In this passage that deals with various parables on service and the child of God, it is very instructive that the evil “servant of God” goes to hell in the end. So we must open the possibility that many supposed ministers of God, preachers, evangelists, or even pastors that exercise official positions in the church, just are not even saved.

Love of the Truth is Necessary to be Saved

The key factor that indicates their salvation is simply their disposition and attitude towards the will of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

A key element in identifying a false prophet is their lack of love for the truth. Many so-called Christians do not love and pursue the truth.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

They refuse to accept that God will judge sinners. Although they know he will, he convinces himself that he personally is exempt from God as Judge examining his life. While they can preach putting others in the condemnation of God, that never gets to the point that they themselves submit to God.

Any pretense in obeying God or submitting his own life to God’s Word is to convince others of his own superior privilege with God. This means he should be worshiped even more by his followers.

They don’t believe in hell

Within this same mindset, some false prophets go so far as to deny the existence of hell.
Nobody has ever died, gone to hell and returned to tell others about it. Jesus as God and Creator declares to us the existence of the place.

Reality is what is real and now, and if there is anything beyond this world, it has to heaven and hell. Heaven is the place where God considers it his home. Man disobeys God and is condemned, which proves the anger of God against sinners.

He is an enemy to everything that is right and just.
