FP: Fruit of a False Prophet Disobedience Part 8
FP: Fruit of a False Prophet Disobedience Part 8
By David Cox
Summary: This study will investigate what the fruit (life and ministry) of a false prophet. This install will look at how the false prophet disobeys the Word of God, and the true prophet seeks to always obey God’s Word.
When we seek to understand, discern, and stay away from a false prophet, especially not being under his teaching and influence, we can very quickly discern the difference between a true prophet and a false prophet by their attitude towards the Word of God.
Different Views towards Scripture
A true prophet of God is under the authority of God, and he understands this to communicated to him via the Word of God, Scriptures, or the Bible. This is his authority, and he exercises faith in its wisdom, in its ability to show forth the genius and goodness of God towards us. He has that trust that it is his inheritance, and that it is the best thing that there is for orientation in this world. It sets his moral standards for life, as well as giving directions of what to do or not do, evaluating and placing moral value on some things and moral danger on others.
1Sam 3:19 And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
1Kgs 13:21 And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee, 1Kgs 13:22 But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
Although there is the issue of whether this was a disobedient prophet of God or a false prophet (saved or not), the point of view of manipulating the Words of God in order to make them say what you essentially want (your will) is very clear.
The false prophet on the other hand has a totally different view towards Scripture. For him it “gets in his way”. It is as much a tool to use to submit others to his will as it is a pestulance to cause irritation to his soul. The false prophet is not submitted to the will of God, nor is he a true believer, so his view of God’s will is that it may be good, but his own discernment is better and always overrides whatever God has said. Don’t get me wrong, even Satan knows God’s Word very well, and that is because they (Satan and his false prophets) have learned that in order to control people as well as you can, you need to be like God, but just use God for your own purposes.
Fruit of a False Prophet Disobedience
The false prophet can be discerned by the fruit of disobedience in his life and ministry. We can discern this by very clear declarations from the Word of God which are being cast aside or directly doing the opposite of them. Some examples will serve to clarify even more.
Exod 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. Exod 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
Our (men’s) relationship with women is very clear. We are not to have sex with them unless we are directly married with that woman, and only one woman until she dies is correct. This extends so far as to even clean our thought life, and we are not to even lust after another woman (think with desire on), just our own legitimate wife. In our day, we need to extend this even further. This declares that God only approves of a man having a relationship with a female, which being single (belonging to no other man), becomes his wife. Homosexuality and even relations with children are all perversions that should be rejected.
Within many cults and false religions, this seems to be very obviously overturned through logical gymnastics. The Branch Davidians in Waco Texas had their leader David Koresh posting a sign up sheet in his church for when the women (all in the group) were to sleep with him. How can you be so opposite the most obvious commands of God and still pretend to be a prophet of God? Just a little common sense would go a long way on a lot of this.
1Tim 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 1Tim 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 1Tim 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 1Tim 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1Cor 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1Cor 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 1Cor 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
The Bible is very clear. Women are not to teach, preach, direct, lead, or in any way be in authority over a group where men are present. If this is the clear teaching of Scripture, then why is it that there are women pastors and preachers ministering directly to men? They are in clear disobedience, and they don’t care. This is a sure mark of error in the thinking and spirit of such a minister.
